Have you ever posted an ad for your MLM biz online?  Did you know what you were doing when you posted it?

I started out the same way…posting to social sites with vague descriptions purposely veiled to keep the network marketing side hidden until the prospects took the bait.

I’ll give you the success rate in as few words as possible… It sucked!

I was trying to use direct sales marketing in a market that is inundated by hundreds of ads per hour when they surf the internet.  I still can’t believe that I actually though cheesy ads “looking for motivated individuals to join this upstart company” and similar posts.

You may have seen some of them…

Maybe you’ve done this in the past, or even doing it right now.

Let’s get this straight right now, THE MADNESS HAS TO STOP!

MLM success in the past was based on direct sales, telling everyone about your product or company the first time you met them – and every time after that too!

The current top MLM earners are using attraction marketing online.

What is attraction marketing?

You no longer sell your product directly.  You provide value in who you are, attracting people who want to work with you.   Out of this group of people, you’ll find people that also want to work in your MLM.

So how do you go about attracting prospects?

You’ll need a few tools that you use integrated in a marketing system.

Have you ever gone for a walk with your kids and come to an epihpany?

I recognized something recently that I had not thought about for a while when I went for a hike with my wife and kids.  My kids are awesome.  They’re 7 and 9 years old.

That’s not what I realized however…I already knew that, but I digress…

We started the hike on a cool fall day, as is usual and customary for Montana.  The kids had left the house happy to get outside into the fresh air.

But theywere not entirely excited to start the hike, because upon exiting the vehicle, they saw the hill looming in front of them with a trail that seemed long and steep.

The grumbling started and the whining.  And as much as mom and I encouraged them and told them they could do it, they continued to complain about how hard it was, and that they couldn’t do it.

I’m not one for reasons why you can’t – preferring to find reasons why you can instead.

So, on we went, slowly, agonizing step after step as their demeanors continued to sour.

After 15 minutes we rounded the corner to what awaited them: a hill side covered in boulders that would prove to be the best climbing they could have imagined.

Suddenly their spirits soared, and incredibly all the “I’m tired”, “my legs hurt”, “this isn’t fun” complaints abruptly ended.  The pace ramped up to light speed and the fun and excitement was on!

This seems to be the case with network marketers too.  They start with their MLM biz eager to go and take on the world.  But when faced with adversity -like running out of leads – they start to complain and fast to quit entirely, or find a new company.

So, what to network marketing prospects look for in an MLM opportunity?  Is it your product?  Company? Comp plan? Ground floor start up?

No. Nope. Uh-uh. Not chance!

I started my first MLM biz like most others in this business…blind and stupid based on an emotional decision to jump into an opportunity because of all the excitement and the chance to get in on the ground floor.

Bad decision on my part.  I had to chalk that one up to experience, or lack thereof, learn and move on.

The worst part of that choice was that I was looking for reps that bit at the same thing I did.  I signed up people that got excited early and made an emotional, uninformed decision.

And they did the same thing I did… got a few reps, lost their emotional energy when it became hard to convert more reps, and flopped!  We immediately became part of the 97% who join an MLM and fail, because we joined for the wrong reason.

I no longer allow people to sign up for my primary company if I have any indication that they’re making an emotional decision.  I only allow reps to sign up if they are personable, analytical and are willing to do one thing…

They have to be willing and capable to lead.

That’s right, I only sign up leaders.  Reps in my down-line must be relationship oriented, willing to help others and able to teach their team how to succeed.

If you’ve ever had a group of reps that sign up reps who are just as emotional in their decision making as they are, you soon realize that you are stuck being a baby sitter getting lots of calls from people who are unwilling or unable to build their own team, and thus have to rely on you.

Can it be done?  Can you be ethically and morally market your MLM business and still make money?

Maybe in the past you’ve felt like you’re selling your soul in order to make a sale in your MLM business?

I don’t mean that you’re actually dealing with the devil – and I sincerely hope you’re not doing that… but you somehow feel  that, in the course of attempting to convert your prospect to a rep, you are dealing in deception.

Marketing and sales have always felt that way to me too.  I felt that in order to sell whatever product I had, there had to be some sort of angle.  It seemed there was no direct and ethical approach to sales.

I’ve been subjected to “up-selling”… that nefarious activity of selling an item and then notifying you that it needs all these other add-on items for it to actually work.

The “bait and switch” technique has angered me on many occasions too.  You get offered one thing -usually a spectacular offer to get you in the door – and then once you’re there, they require that you buy more to qualify for the spectacular deal.

Where’s the integrity?

These kinds of tactics drive me absoultely nuts. And they’re why I have always had an aversion to selling… anything.

Likely it’s happened to you also… many more times than you care to remember.

So how do you ethically and morally market your MLM… and still make money?

I’ll let you in on a secret here…

You’re not selling anything but YOURSELF… and if that lacks moral or ethical balance, your MLM biz will never succeed.

Have you ever noticed that there are very few people who seem to be making a killing with their MLM?

And you’re not one of them?

It’s staggering to see the statistics of how many people join a MLM and never recover their initial investment.  Sad but true, 97% never make it in their MLM business.

But the other 3% are making so much money they are attracting hundreds and thousands of reps into their businesses.

What makes them so different.

I truly believe I can help you answer that.  Just follow along here for a bit.

I recently watched a couple live webinars from my marketing group in which a guy by the name of David took 2 hours to provide a step-by-step blue print of the exact methods he uses to generate tremendous amounts of leads.

In fact, the week he did the webinars he had over 70 leads in one day.

Simply amazing.

And better yet, he did this is less than 3 months!

Still not impressed?

He had never done internet marketing before starting using the system that was creating insane numbers of leads with!

Just what was that mind blowing system?

Article marketing.  David uses several simple tools available to absolutely anyone with a pulse – and likely even those without a pulse too.

It’s so simple that even I set it up on less than 2 hours a day of work in less than a week, without any prior knowledge of internet marketing or computer programming.

And in reality, I’m pretty much a bozo in regards to using a computer.  I’m smart at lots of other things, but honestly, html scares the crap out of me!

Has your MLM business imploded while you watch other network marketers EXPLODE their MLM?

I used to go into MLM battle with a single shot rifle and bayonette.  The trouble was, I was fighting in a war where others were using laser guided, remote, computer controlled weapons.  I wasn’t making anywhere near the same progress as them…

You’re here reading this because you have these same issues in your MLM business: still engaged in hand-to-hand combat.

What, exactly, is MLM hand-to-hand combat?  I’m sure you’re familiar with it…

Cold calls, buying lead lists, talking to your friends and family, posting flyers, giving away free samples (they weren’t free to you, were they?).

4 months back I was recruited to the other army.  I lay down my rifle and walked away… forever.

Weapons of mass mlm domination…  sounds daunting if you’re not the one aiming them.

The top online network marketers are using the weapons of mass MLM domination to do just that… DOMINATE their MLM businesses.

By now you’ve heard of pay per click, forums, classified ads, banner ads, social network marketing, video marketing, ezines, solo ads, listbuilders, article marketing…  the possibilities make the mind swim.

For many people, the arsenal of marketing tools is just down-right frightening.

“It costs too much”, “I don’t know how to use a computer”, “I’m not experienced with the internet”.  There are lots of excuses…

Lets get one thing in the open right now…

Fear holds you back, and keeps you right where you are, with exactly what you’ve always had!

What Is Dubli Fun Shopping? A DubLi Review

The Next eBay?

The Next eBay?

I had to share this company after I went online searching for a birthday present for my wife.  I was looking for a digital camera, and the internet being what it is, I was looking for the best deal.  I ran across DubLi.com, and was glad I did.

What I found was insane!  I found what I was looking for, and a great deal indeed.  A 10 megapixel digital camera with video, small, light weight and easy to use… brand new for $52!  The starting price?  $242.00

It answered a couple questions…

Too good to be true?  No!

Always a question following new sites…  DubLi scam?

So, what is Dubli fun shopping?

Here’s what I found out about the company…

DubLi.com is the vision of founder, Michael Hansen, who envisioned worldwide ecommerce shopping and went to work creating a process to produce traffic sizable enough to power the shopping portal.  To meet his idea, he and his team built a reverse auction site to create online activity, which then transfers into the internet shopping mall in much the same manner as eBay traffic moves through shopping.com.

Corporate offices are located in Germany, Cyprus, USA, Dubai and the British Virgin Islands.  The business has delivery centers in Phoenix, AZ, Berlin, Germany, with development into Australia and New Zealand in late 2009.

The other day while I was at the coffee shop, admittedly I was eaves dropping as a young man extolled all the virtues of his latest network marketing company on his poor, entrapped victim.  As he blathered on and on about his new super tonic from the rainforest of South America, I was amused by the uncomfortable chair dance of the unfortunate sap who agreed to sit and listen to him explain the ingredients, the comp plan, the amazing ground floor opportunity.

As this continued on, the young man looked up as a someone he recognized passed by.  He briefly slowed his dialog to wave and shout “Hey, Dan!” to the other guy walking past.  I held back a laugh when “Dan” quickly averted his eyes when he recognized who was calling to him, and made for the door at double pace.  As “Dan” avoided confrontation, the uncomfortable squirming of this young man’s prey ramped up, and attention was soon fixed on him again as the benefits of joining were explained.

I actually had to leave before I made a scene, as I was starting to be very amused with the situation and was threatening outright laughter.

Is this how you prospect?

Have you ever seen someone you know purposely avoid you because they know you’re going to try to sell them on your latest and greatest network marketing opportunity?

It’s how I used to prospect, before I realized that this direct sales approach was not effective, and better methods exist that reach way further!

No longer am I chasing leads… in fact they’re now finding me.  I use 5 different tools that allow me to submit articles to over 300 article directories daily.

It’s ok to admit it…

You’re using old technology, aren’t you?

Well, you’re not the only one.

Most network marketers are using the old ways of networking…  cold calling, buying lead lists, talking with strangers, meetings, bugging friends, family, neighbors.  I’m sure you’re as familiar with those as I am.

The difference is I don’t use those techniques anymore.  Over 90% of people in network marketing will fail because they do not use new methods.

Old school methods and new technology: both can get you to your destination, but one will take you a lot longer!

When I joined my first networking company, I was given the “old school” tactics.  Make a list of everyone you know – family and friends -  and start calling!  Use your company’s sales webinars, sell your product.  Buy prospect lists and cold call them.  Put out flyers.  Generally, tell everyone you know about the great new opportunity that they absolutely have to join because it will change their lives!

As I now see, this is like going through an open market in Tijuana.  There are so many advertising and selling that people stop paying attention and actually want to run away.  Everyone has a pitch, trying to sell to anyone with a pulse.  It’s funny now, watching people trying to do just what I did.  They look like a hungry dog below buffet table, hoping – praying – for some fallout or maybe even some pity.

That method is called “direct sales”.  It is not networking.  Networking involves creating and building relationships, not destroying them the way direct sales does.

Admit it.  You’re scared of using internet marketing.  There’s too many systems and too many self appointed marketing guru types who claim their system is the only way, and you just don’t know who to trust.

Not too long ago I would have agreed with you 100%.  The results of google searches for online network marketing systems made my mind swim.  How can anyone ever decide who they should follow?  Who’s genuine? Who’s a fake? Which systems are duplicatable, which are scams?

About 95% of network marketers are in your shoes… they don’t know where to turn. Thus, they are not using the internet effectively.

I subscribed to many e-mail lists and had plenty of phone calls from people that couldn’t answer my questions, or wouldn’t listen to what I was in need of.  Maybe that’s partly my fault, because I didn’t know what I needed either.

Online marketing is a relatively new idea in network marketing.  Many of those espousing their methods and systems are not actively pursuing network marketing.  Instead, they’re selling marketing.  There is no vested interest in building a network marketing business, so there is also a lack of understanding how to market a MLM business.

In finding someone to work with, I had several criteria to meet:

First, they had to be a network marketer.  If they are not actively a network marketer with an established MLM business they are building or getting paid from, they’re off the list.  It doesn’t matter what their primary company is as much as that they have one.
