Welcome to my background info.  It’s important to know the facts about your source of information.  The info you get affects what decisions you make.  When that concerns your business, the credibility of your sources is important.

With the wish to be completely transparent about who I am, I include this brief post.

I live in Montana with my wife and kids, where I have operated my own business for the past 10 years.   Having run my own business, I have experienced the good and bad of being a business owner.  Although there are many great things – like vacations when you want, as long a lunch hour as you wish, making your schedule to correspond with kids activities and such – we began to tire of being tied to our business.  When not at work, the paychecks stop.  With freedom comes being heavily tied down.

Network marketing offered a solution and a path to a change in lifestyle.  Residual income allows us to have more free time away from self employed small business owners to spend with family.  Simply put, it is freedom.

I started my MLM completely blind.  I didn’t know the first thing about sales (and it showed).  My health care service oriented business has never been about sales, but rather focused on value and education.   But despite this, I jumped into my MLM trying to sell, not knowing what I was supposed to be selling.

After an initial fast start, my MLM started to flat line.  I simply ran out of leads, and hadn’t been taught the skill set to find more.  So, I did what most of you are doing or did…I went to the internet and tried prospect the same way I did live.  And guess what happened.  I had the same results.

Was it me failing?  Or was it my methods failing me?

As it turns out, 97% of network marketers suffer the same problems for the same reasons.  There are too many people out there using direct sales techniques in a saturated “offer” market. It seems everyone is trying to sell something these days, and with so many offers available, what makes one more attractive than the next?  The comp plan?  The pre-launch opportunity? The product?  All wrong answers…

No one wants to buy a product or company anymore.  If they are starting a business, they want a leader who has a system that they can copy and easily implement.  There has to be something more than just a business opportunity.  The “offer” had to change… it had to bring value over hype.

Fast forward several months later, after countless hours on the internet researching, reading and listening, talking with people who I found to be getting the results I want to achieve, and my business has changed 180 degrees.

I no loner buy lead lists.  I no longer walk the malls, handing out cards and flyers, I have stopped doing 3 way calls with my upline and prospects, I no longer chase friends and family.  In fact,  I can’t remember the last time I told someone about  my MLM without them asking me first what business I am doing.  And despite this, I am still signing up reps.

I am using a system that was taught to me that generates leads daily.  I don’t have all day to post articles everywhere.  I spend less that 20 hours a week writing, posting and calling prospects, while my system sends out thousands of e-mails, articles and ads on auto-pilot.  I can now spend more time with the important part of network marketing…networking:  personal interactions with people who need assistance in growing their MLM business.  That’s what it’s about. NETWORKING!  HELPING!

Systems work.  When you have a series of teachable steps that anybody with a pulse can reproduce…When you have the heart to teach others how to copy what you are doing…When you have information and experience that make you a valuable commodity…success finds you.

It takes work, time and commitment.  But you can position yourself so that you can lead.

I’m not the top internet marketer. But I do know more than most, and I’m learning more each and every day.  Everything I know I am more than willing to teach you so you don’t suffer the same situation I went through when I started.

I encourage you to make the choice to follow through on your research.  If you gain knowledge but fail to implement it, you remain exactly where you are today.
